HyCOMB USA® realizes each project uses different material substrates as well as has its own set of unique characteristics. This is why HyCOMB USA® provides a wide array of anchoring options and attachment systems, including: Interlocking Channel, “Z” Clip (for interior), Adhesive, and Anchor Plate attachments.  Since any successful cladding system is dependent on its attachment system, HyCOMB USA® is the optimum choice to accomplish any cladding project.

The Interlocking Channel system is one of the most popular attachment devices. Stock lengths of aluminum-extruded channels are supplied for the installer to anchor on to the building substrate (metal stud, concrete, cinder block, etc.) We will work with team to engineer the correct screw attachment and CTC spacing. Generally, 2” Clips are attached to a factory embedded Stainless Steel Rivnut at set locations. Once the clips are installed on the panel, it is dropped onto the track. HyCOMB USA’s top row of clips are supplied with 2 (two) adjustment screws for additional ease of installation. Once the panel is in position, a permanent screw is run through the clip into the track - and installer moves on to the next panel (Click here for more information)

The “Z” Clip system works very similar to the installation of French cleats – you can install by screwing into the face of the panel. The “Z” Clip fasteners intertwine, locking the panels in place.  They also offer a quick and inexpensive future removal of panels for change or replacement.

The Adhesive attachment method is usually done in conjunction with HyCOMB USA®'s Fiberglass panels and Laticrete’s 310 adhesive.  Laticrete 310 is a two-part epoxy, which can be built out to a thickness of 25mm without the use of brackets. Again, a two man crew can lift and install a full sheet with this direct set method vs. the need of more installers or lifting equipment with dimensional stone or thick porcelains.

The Anchor Plate method of attachment system is advantageous in that it costs a great deal less than other installation methods. The anchor plate is attached around the perimeter of the panel.  Screw attachment is done through the panel joints and into the framing behind. This system requires that framing be located behind each panel joint with a minimum joint size of 3/8" (10 mm). For installation instructions. (Click here for more information).

HyCOMB USA® is distinguished to be one of the few companies in the world to offer not only a wide array of panel surfaces, but also a multitude of attachment system solutions to complement the varied project needs of architects, developers, contractors, and installers.
