Limestone
Sedimentary rocks created by the accumulation and compression of fossils and / or stone fragments. It has a smooth granular surface. Limestone actually varies in hardness. A number of these stones are dense and allow to be polished. Common colors are black, grey, white, yellow or brown.
Typical Uses: Interior uses include fireplaces, furniture, and vanity tops. Exterior applications are flooring, statues, and wall cladding.
